FIFA 12 demo is released for the platforms: PC, XBOX 360, and PS3. Developed by EA Canada, the game has been in the spot light for many months. Backtracking few months, at E3 2011, FIFA 12 turned many heads by getting itself proclaimed as “Best Sports Game” by the E3 Game Critics. Even grabbed the title of being “Best Console Game” by Gamescom 2011 [One of the biggest and most recognized video game fair held annually at Koelnmesse in Cologne, Germany].
In the FIFA 12 demo, you can scroll among six different teams: Barcelona, Arsenal, Manchester City, Marseille, Dortmund and AC Milan. A 3 minute half-time game and Man City’s Etihad Stadium will be featured in the demo version.
Now, there must be something new and unique which makes it different from the previous 18 FIFA titles? Well, yes there are many new changes made into the game from the change of look in the front end menus, and the in-game physics. As, I say in-game physics it refers to specifically three stuffs: The Impact Engine, Tactical Defending & Precision Dribbling.
The Impact Engine is designed and used to put more lifelike characteristics to the game bots and other features. This engine brings more real life properties to the game like more realistic injuries, collision effects and livelier gameplay experience. The Tactical Defending feature will emphasize more on the gamers’ skills. This includes tactical positioning, defense organization, intercepting and tackling of players as well. According to the developers gamers will have to put up their whole skills in order to block the offence and gamers will no longer will have the plus point to let the AIs tackle the other team members. It’s just you. Precision Dribbling will be another feature which will enhance and allow dribbling the ball in tighter circumstances like while moving or shielding. Another plus in the game’s AI is the Pro Player Intelligence feature. This includes more real-time player to player interaction in the game. Players on pitch will know each other’s weak and strong points, this understanding increases the ball crossing and passing techniques between team mates.
While the demo is launched the fans must be now more eagerly waiting for the full game release on September 27th. With the demo launched, if you still think you can’t get enough, then you need to hit the Eurogamer Expo, London. This features more of FIFA 12 before its main stream release. To download FIFA 12 on your PC, click here.
