Internet Explorer 10

Microsoft has been rather quick with the development of Internet Explorer lately. It was only recently we saw Internet Explorer 9 final version hitting the web, and a good amount of positive response from users for this cleanly designed HTML 5 and CSS3 compliant next gen web browser.
Now Microsoft have released the first platform preview of Internet Explorer 10, the successor to IE 9. It has taken IE 9 an year to get to the final version after it’s first platform preview released. So can we expect the same for IE 10, a final release in summer of 2012? Or could it be that IE 10 gets shipped along with Windows 8, which is also expected to hit the market sometime in 2012?

Carrying forward their compliance to emerging web standards, Microsoft have introduced CSS3 Flexbox, CSS3 Grid Alignment, CSS3 Multi-column, CSS3 Gradients on background-images and ECMAScript5 Strict Mode in Internet Explorer 10.
You can take a test drive of several IE 10 features here.

IE 10 is compatible with Windows 7 (both x86 and x64). Windows Vista users are left out, and now join Windows XP users who have already been dumped for IE 9.
