As we know, recently we had the World’s premier wireless trade show organized in Barcelona, Spain. With this, the Mobile World Congress showcased the planet’s leading mobile technologies. There were announcements of smartphones and tablets and the Mobile companies unveiled their latest technologies. The major highlights in MWC were Nokia 808 PureView, ASUS’s 3-in-1 PadFone, Samsung Galaxy Beam, HTC One X, Huawei Ascend D quad and Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1. Here we give a review of their specifications and expected price.
1.Samsung Galaxy Beam
Samsung Galaxy Beam is one of the phones to be unveiled in MWC a few days ago in Barcelona and quite promising among those released. It introduces LED projection unit which looks more advanced than those released earlier. Also this feature may become a standard for the near future. With advanced pico projector on the top end, it can produce 15 lumens of brightness and looks good upto 50 inches. You can use it to show movies and games to others in a grand manner.
The other features are pretty much same as found in today’s smartphones. It has Android 2.3 OS, a 1 GHz Cortex-A9 processor inside the projector , 5 MP camera, 5.0 inch Super AMOLED capacitive Display, 768 MB RAM, Wi-Fi and many other features. There is no news as to its price or release in India.
2.Asus 3-in-1 PadFone
ASUS has finally unveiled the Padfone at the MWC in Barcelona a few days ago. It has overcome the barrier of separate devices and has taken the mobile world by storm by introducing this innovative device. This Android smartphone presents a unique combination of smartphone, tablet and notebook into the Asus padfone. On a standalone basis, the smartphone is the brain of the Asus padfone and can be used as a regular smartphone. There is a specially designed tablet sleeve wherein the smartphone can be docked to present an enlarged view. There is one more accessory, the physical keyboard dock which can be attached to the tablet giving it the look of a notebook.
With Android 4.0 ,Dual-Core 1.5 GHz processor, 4.3” AMOLED display, 8Mp camera and other features, it is quite parallel with the existing smartphones. Asus padfone tablet has a stylish design. t features a LCD display with screen size of 10.1 inches. It has 8 MP rear camera and 1.3 MP front camera. Also when the phone is residing inside the tablet, it gets recharged from the tablet battery and thus the tablet acts as an extended battery for the phone.
It is likely to hit the market in april but its arrival in India is unknown. There is no information as to its price.
3.HTC One X
HTC One X is soon to be released in India. With a 4.7 inch Super LCD touchscreen display, it makes viewing a truly great experience. It has Android 4.0 OS, 1.5 GHz Nvidia Tegra 3 Quad-Core processor, 8 MP camera, 4.7 inch 720p Display, 1GB RAM, 1800 MAh battery, NFC, Beats Audio, 32 GB storage and many others which makes it powerful. It is expected to be priced around Rs. 30,000.
4.Huawei Ascend D Quad
Huawei Ascend D Quad is soon to be released in India. This has a Quad core having Huawei’s K3V2 quad-core processor and thus opens up many possibilities. It has Android 4.0 OS, a 1.5 Quad Core processor , 8.1 MP camera, 4.5 inch 720p Display, 1GB RAM, A-GPS, 1800 MAh battery, Dolby 5.1 surround sound and many others which makes it powerful. 5.Nokia 808 PureView
With this phone, Nokia is taking one big leap in the image technology in contrast to available here. It is introducing an advanced approach to viewing. With Nokia 808 PureView, you can take images with an extraordinary detail and clarity. The Carl Zeiss lens with 41 MP camera makes photography a great experience with zooming and Full HD video. It has Symbian Belle OS, Amoled touchscreen and many other features making it truly revolutionary. It is priced at Rs. 30,000.
6.Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1
Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 encorporates a pen input technology known as S pen which provides control to an extent that it could be used for sketching and writing and serves usage similar to analog pens. Thus it serves as an efficient tool for sketching combined with web contents. Along with this, there is S Memo too. It has Android 4.0 OS, a dual core processor of 1.4 GHz, 3.15 MP camera and many others which makes it look really different. It is expected to be priced around Rs. 35,000.
