OPERATING SYSTEM:
Samsung Galaxy S2 is equipped with Android platform ver2.3 (Gingerbread) where as Apple’s iPhone 4s is installed with latest iOS 5 platform. The platform installed in Galaxy S2 is provides very handy customizable interface using TouchWIZ 4.0 environment. And because it is Android, it is open source. On the other hand, Apple’s iOS 5 offers better user interface, enhanced camera applications & modes and improved notification interface.
PROCESSOR:
Both the phones run on dual core processor. Galaxy S2 uses Exynos 4210SoC processor clocked at the frequency of 1.2GHz on Cortex A9 dual core processor with ARM Mali 400MP GPU. iPhone 4s works on its Apple A5 chipset based on 1GHz dual core processor ARM Cortex-A9 processor with PowerVR SGX543MP2 GPU. When the processors were compared, Galaxy S2 gave better performance with respect to iPhone 4s. But when it came to the Graphical Acceleration, iPhone 4s brilliantly covered all lags in processing.
Display:
If we talk about display, the Galaxy S2 dominates over iPhone 4s on its screen size and high colors and contrast ratio. Galaxy S2 has 4.3inches WVGA Super AMOLED plus capacitive touch screen displaywith a maximum resolution of 800×480 pixels. Whereas, in iPhone 4s, there is 3.5inches IPS TFT capacitive touch screen display with 640×960 pixels.
CAMERA:
Quality wise, Galaxy S2 is better than iPhone 4s but if we see the features, iPhone 4s win the camera war. Galaxy S2 was introduced with 8MP rear and 2MP front facing camera with LED flash. iPhone 4s have 8MP CMOS rear camera and VGA front facing camera with LED flash with some attractive features like auto white balance, facetime app, hybrid IR filter.
NETWORK:
In terms of network & speed, Samsung Galaxy S2 leads over iPhone 4s. Galaxy S2 provides HSDPA connectivity at the range of 21Mbps with 4G capabilities. Whereas, iPhone 4s delivers 3G HSDPA speed of the range of 14.4Mbps.
